Does this sound like your child?

Each of these is something Eva sees often in Grades 3 to 6. Find the one that sounds most like your evenings. None of them can tell you what is happening for your particular child. That is what a first session is for.

Math

"He was fine at math two years ago. Now nothing seems to hold."

Math is like buttoning a shirt. Miss one button early and everything after it sits crooked, even when each step looks fine.

"8 x 7 is more than just a multiplication table."

When math facts aren't automatic, every bigger problem costs a child extra effort, and that shows up as slowness, mistakes and frustration.

Reading and writing

"He reads every word, then can't tell me what happened."

Reading the words and understanding them are two different jobs. Which one is breaking down changes everything about what helps.

"She tells the whole story out loud, then writes three sentences."

The ideas are there. Something between the idea and the page is taking all the effort.

Homework and confidence

"Twenty minutes of homework shouldn't take two hours."

A child who can't finish in time usually has a lot going on in their head. Laziness and not caring are rarely on the list.

"My child says they're stupid."

Children usually reach that conclusion for a reason. Finding the reason works better than arguing with the conclusion.

"Does she not care, or does she care too much?"

A child who shuts down can look like they don't care. Often it is the opposite.

Report cards

"B minus, beware."

A B can hide a couple of A's and an F. Nobody flags it, and the missing skill shows up months later.

Recognized your child in more than one of these?

That is common, and it usually means the patterns are connected. Eva's first session, or a Learning Roadmap, is where you find out how.

Book a first session

Tell Eva a little about your child. She replies personally within one business day. No obligation.

The first session is where Eva finds the starting point: what your child already has solid, and where the gap begins. Every plan after that is built from it.
